VANCOUVER OPERATIONAL STRESS INJURY CLINIC
On February 20, 2009 a new OSI Clinic was opened at the University of British Columbia, funded by Veterans Affairs Canada and operated by Vancouver Coastal Health. The Vancouver clinic is part of a national network of operational stress injury clinics. It will provide specialized assessment and treatment of service-related mental health injuries to veterans, members of the Canadian Forces, eligible members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and their families.
Vancouver Coastal Health is already home to the Canadian Forces Trauma Training Centre West, specializing in mental health services for those living with stress related trauma. The new Vancouver OSI Clinic will also form part of the integrated network of National Defence's Occupational Trauma, Stress and Support Centres
